Outreach United was founded in 2006 by Gary Wood and his husband, Bryant Johnson. From its humble beginnings as a yearly party, held in their home each year, the organization has turned into a noteworthy community ally.
Since our inception we have raised over $350,000 for local LGBT non-profits. As a non-profit organization ourselves, we are dedicated to helping bring more positive awareness, a sense of camaraderie and a better understanding of the Houston LGBT community, and its allies, through hosted fundraisers.
Your generosity makes a huge difference to these wonderful organizations! Thank you!!
The Montrose Center empowers our community, primarily lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender individuals and their families, to enjoy healthier and more fulfilling lives. We envision a healthier society marked by permanent, positive changes in attitudes and behaviors toward the LGBT communities, and the ability of all LGBT individuals to realize their fullest potential.
OutReach United is managed by an all-volunteer Board who work to fulfill OutReach United’s mission, manage day-to-day activities, and grow the organization. If you are interested in volunteering please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
